Hello, I am  Dan Brantner owner of Dovetail Design, a custom cabinet making and finish carpentry business located in Eau Claire, WI.

Working with wood has always been something that I have enjoyed.  As a high school student, I was infected with the woodworking bug.  The smell of fresh cut lumber.  As well as  the idea that I could take raw lumber and turn it into beautiful furniture, was exciting.  Starting with my first real project- a solid oak gun cabinet, other furniture and cabinets soon followed.   Today, I still enjoy working with this beautiful material, to create cabinets for every room in the house.  

For 15 years I have also worked as a carpenter, in both residential and commercial construction.  I built a wide range of projects, from custom homes and condos to hotels, dental offices, and assisted living facilities.  For more than 10 of those years, I specialized in trim “finish” carpentry.  For it is the fine woodworking and finish carpentry that I am the most passionate about.
